We traveled to beautiful Canyon Lake today, to check on construction of our Modern Hill Country Home and Apartment Workshop Garage Expansion. In just a few weeks, the foundation crew completed the garage expansion foundation work and back fill / underground plumbing on the adjacent new home.
Framing is on order for the Garage expansion and concrete is about a week out for the Modern Country Home (over 30 full sized dump trucks of fill).

Hill Country Modern Home
A home designed to take your breath away. An unparalleled, spectacular and all-encompassing villa at Canyon Lake, Texas, is an abode beyond imagination.
Canyon Lake is a picturesque setting with 80 miles of shoreline surrounded by an abundant waterscape, nature-rich neighborhoods, heritage museums, private clubs, gorges, hiking trails, camp areas, boat houses and many more enriching outdoor zones to explore.
The luxurious hill country home showcases a modern expression of country-style architecture in a tranquil setting, with remarkable spatial zones-indoor and outdoor.
Nestled in nature with 4460 sq. ft of living space, it includes four plush bedrooms, four relaxing baths, office space and enlivening outdoor spaces. Architecturally, the rustic finished house integrates strategic volumes, along with an array of slope roofs stacked in various elevated configurations.
Meticulously weaving the surrounding landscape, neatly orienting shaded and outdoor areas, and integrating scenic viewpoints in and out of the property—were the prime attributes focused on by the architects. They began by preserving the existing natural biosphere and innovatively ‘zoning’ to configure an exceptional floor plan.
The house is geared to entertain guests to swim in the pool, go fishing, and hunting while experiencing a country life charm. An outdoor patio with louvred extents is always open for entertainment, accommodating a large dining table for a feast. If your jam is to lie down under the shade of tree canopies or gaze into the night sky on decks, then you are at the right place.
The client insisted on crafting a functional home with an entertaining lifestyle, and the architects re-designed the original design to bring together a fabulous countryside home!
Workshop Garage Apartment Expansion
The two-story addition includes enlarged family spaces, a new master suite, and functionality to an existing garage - all without compromising the character of the original vacation home.
This project includes an expansion to the existing 906 SF garage, adding over 3,300 SF of storage and workshop space. Ideally for country homes, large workshop garages house wakeboard boats, UTV's, 4 wheelers, motorcycles and whatever adrenaline fueled toys that you can imagine.
The second story is compromised of three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large family space. Each room had specific requirements by the client, which accommodates their children and grandchildren needs. Ample space in each bedroom allows for double twin bunkbeds, storage for suitcases and children needs and easy access to bathrooms.
The kitchen and family rooms are divided by a freestanding, oversized island containing storage on one side and decorative panels with extra electrical power connections on the other. Multipaned doors on kitchen cabinets suit the period of the house and add depth to cabinet-lined walls. Additional storage is tucked into the corridors, including a pantry space.
