Lakeway Lease House - Framing Update 2

Updated: Dec 16, 2022

Continuation of framing on the Lakeway Lease house project! The overall framing is completed along with progress of wood sheathing and various water proofing.

The workshop garage has height ceilings on level one, with three shed roofs on level 2. We had to work with the energy supplier to carefully coordinate the roof lines with the existing power pole, including a specific drawings that illustrated the required clearances from each service.

The overall massing is starting to become more evident, as the roof framing is now closer to completion. Shed roofs allow for height ceilings and give the small space an overall "bigger feel".

The living room is nearly 20'-0" tall, with high clearstory windows that allow light into the living room area. Due to space constraints on the site and the overall program of the house - window placement was a challenge.

The high shed roof allows windows to stack over other areas and will provide a great amount of lighting through-out the day.
